Accounting Scholarship Program
The Saint Louis Society of Women Certified Public Accountants

Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 to a
junior, senior or graduate women, as of the fall 2011
semester in the field of accounting, based on proven
academic ability and outstanding achievement displayed in
outside activities and organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must meet each of the following conditions:

In awarding scholarships, the SLSWCPA shall evaluate the
candidates based on the following criteria:
Deadline - The 2011 deadline has passed. Winners
were recognized at our September 21, 2011 dinner
meeting. Please return in the spring 2012 for
information on next year's scholarship.

- Be a junior, senior or graduate woman;
- Be currently enrolled full or part-time in a public or
private, accredited two-year or four-year college or
university; - Have declared major in accounting; and
- All required documents must be received by the
application deadline.
Criteria for Selection
In awarding scholarships, the SLSWCPA shall evaluate the
candidates based on the following criteria:
- Involvement in outside activities and organizations;
- Academic excellence (a minimum cumulative GPA of
3.0 on a 4.0 scale); - Written communication must be legible, with complete
thoughts and sentences; and - Applications from previous award winners will not be
accepted.
